Brooke Shivers is a self-taught makeup artist and self-portraitist working in Los Angeles, CA. Her work focuses on intimate, often unsettling details and the multiformity of the human face. She strives to see makeup art displayed alongside traditional fine arts, and believes that with the face as a canvas, viewers can find a personal and visceral context for contemporary work.

In 2018 she won the International Beauty Award for Best Non-Pro Creative Makeup and in 2023 she won first prize in the Little Five Points Halloween Festival Photo Competition.
Her art has been exhibited across the country, from Atlanta, GA, to Greater Los Angeles, CA.

She currently has work on display in Phantasmal Gallery’s online exhibition Icicle.
